PITTSVILLE VOLLEYBALL WINS CWC SMALL FINALE AT PORT EDWARDS

PORT EDWARDS – Madisyn Schooley had nine service aces, seven kills and four blocks to lead the Pittsville volleyball team to a 3-1 win over Port Edwards in a Central Wisconsin Conference match Tuesday at Port Edwards High School.

Pittsville won 25-18, 19-25, 25-14, 25-19, to improve 2-8 overall and 2-4 in the CWC Small Division.

Bekah Downs also had seven kills, Julia Redmond had six kills and seven digs, and Vanessa Pelot had 11 assists for the Panthers.

Angel Millard added 10 assists and five aces for Pittsville.

“We played better as a team,” Pittsville coach Buff Heller said. “We had one rough stretch in Game 2, but overall we were way more consistent. Our serving was strong led by Madisyn Schooley’s nine aces.”

Pittsville will compete in the WIAA regionals beginning next week. Matchups will be announced later this week.
