PITTSVILLE – Sam Bowden scored 16 pints to lead the Pittsville boys basketball team to its first victory of the season, a 71-31 rout of Northland Lutheran in a nonconference game Tuesday at Pittsville High School.


Jordan Denniston added 15 points, five rebounds, four assists and four steals, and Jack Redmond had 11 points and seven rebounds for Pittsville (1-4).


Karsten Zahrt had 11 points for Northland Lutheran (4-3).


Pittsville is back in action Dec. 30 at Necedah.
