PACELLI GIRLS BASKETBALL OPENS SEASON WITH ROAD WIN AT WEYAUWEGA-FREMONT

WEYAUWEGA – The Stevens Point Pacelli girls basketball team opened its 2021-22 season with a 37-19 nonconference win over Weyauwega-Fremont on the road Thursday.
Pacelli led 23-7 at halftime, and despite missing 13 of its 20 free throw attempts, were able to hold on the for the win, holding the Warhawks to under 20 points in the game.
Amelia Jacoby had 11 points and Kaylin Yenter added seven for the Cardinals.
Pacelli hosts Marion for a nonconference game on Tuesday in its home opener.
