PACELLI BOYS BASKETBALL EDGES AMHERST IN OVERTIME

STEVENS POINT – Stevens Point Pacelli outscored Amherst 9-1 in overtime and defeated the Falcons 65-57 in a boys basketball game Thursday at the Sentry Classic at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point.
Jaydon Awe had 20 points and 14 rebounds for the Cardinals, who improve to 3-4 with the victory.
Amherst drops to 6-3. Falcons’ stats were not provided.
Both teams return to action Tuesday. Pacelli plays at Almond-Bancroft in a Central Wisconsin Conference South Division game, and Amherst will host Wittenberg-Birnamwood in a CWC East Division game.
