TOMAHAWK – The Mosinee softball team wrapped up a share of the Great Northern Conference title with a dominating 14-0 win over Tomahawk on Monday at Tomahawk High School.


The Indians finish the Great Northern Conference season with a 10-2 mark, tying Medford for the conference championship. Antigo could make it a three-way tie for the title with a win in its GNC finale at Northland Pines on Tuesday.


Adeline Strejc tossed five shutout innings to earn the win, and went 3-for-4 with four RBI at the plate for Mosinee (16-4 overall).


Amber Gonzalez added three hits, scored three runs and knocked in three more, and Alanna Bembenek, Hailey Shnowske, Daisy Spink and Jayden Evenson all added two hits for the Indians.


Mosinee will play a nonconference game at Stevens Point Pacelli on Wednesday to wrap up its regular-season schedule.
