MOSINEE SOFTBALL ROLLS TO DOUBLEHEADER SWEEP AT RHINELANDER

RHINELANDER – The Mosinee softball team kept its early-season unbeaten streak alive as it swept a Great Northern Conference doubleheader from Rhinelander, winning 17-3 and 12-2 on Tuesday at the Hodag Dome.

Mosinee is now 5-0 overall and 4-0 in the GNC, while Rhinelander falls to 3-6 and 1-2 in conference play.

Addy Strejc earned the win in both ends of the twinbill for Mosinee, striking out six in Game 1 and two in the second contest.

Strejc added three hits and two RBI in the first game, while Hailey Shnowske added two hits and two RBI, and Maggie Woller had two hits and three RBI.

In Game 2, Amber Gonzalez knocked in four runs, Maria Valls Raya added three hits and three RBI, and Mikah Keller had three hits and scored twice for the Indians.

Mosinee is scheduled to play a nonconference game at Stevens Point Pacelli on Friday.
