MOSINEE BOYS BASKETBALL HOLDS ON FOR WIN AT MERRILL

MERRILL – The Mosinee boys basketball team held off a couple of late runs from Merrill and earned a 74-69 nonconference win Friday night at Merrill High School.
Davin Stoffel had 28 points, Trenton Dorn added 15, and Keagen Jirschele scored 12 for Mosinee, which improves to 20-1 this season.
Bailey Turenne made five of Merrill’s 12 3-pointers and scored a team-high 24 points for the Bluejays (8-12).
Mosinee hosts Altoona in a nonconference game Tuesday.
