MARSHFIELD'S JOEY GOETTL SIGNS AT MINNESOTA STATE MANKATO

SPORTSDESK - Marshfield Senior High's Joey Goettl signed his letter of intent to attend and play football at Minnesota State Mankato on Wednesday. Goettl, who was the 2019 Valley Football Association West Division offensive player of the year, played quarterback for Marshfield during the season. The 6'2" Goettl racked up 970 yards passing and threw for eight touchdowns during the season. He also ran for 429 yards and tallied four rushing touchdowns for the Tigers. Goettl will begin his collegiate career for the Mavericks on the defensive side of the ball as a defensive back.
