LOYAL GIRLS BASKETBALL WINS AT GREENWOOD

GREENWOOD – Tylee Brecht scored 16 points to lead the Loyal girls basketball team to a 44-33 win over Greenwood on Thursday at Greenwood High School.


Loyal pulled out to a 19-12 lead by halftime and outscored the Indians by four in the second half to pull out the victory. Loyal is now 8-8 overall and 6-4 in the Cloverbelt East.


Mesa Rasmussen had 10 points, and Avry Wuethrich had two 3-pointers and added nine for Greenwood (3-12, 2-7 Cloverbelt East).


Loyal plays a nonconference game at Edgar on Monday. Greenwood returns to action Tuesday at Neillsville.
