GREENWOOD – Xander Hinker rushed for 279 yards and scored five touchdowns overall to lead Greenwood to a 66-22 demolition of Marion/Tigerton in a Central Wisconsin Conference East Division 8-man football match Friday night at Greenwood High School.

Hinker returned a fumble 83 yards for a score in the first quarter and added four touchdown runs of 49, 36, 64 and 45 yards for the Indians.

Christian Thomas added touchdown runs of 49 and 20 yards, Fletcher Bredlau scored on a 19-yard run, and Kody Johnson added a 31-yard score for Greenwood, which finishes the regular season with a 6-3 record and a 4-1 mark in the CWC East.

Greenwood will play at Wausau Newman Catholic in an 8-man football playoff game on Friday, Oct. 22. Newman Catholic won 21-12 in a conference matchup back on Sept. 24.
