GREENHOUNDS SCORE 35 IN TUESDAY DOUBLE HEADER



OWEN, WI - The Loyal/Greenwood Greenhounds softball team dominated a Tuesday night double header against the Owen-Withee, outscoring the Blackhawks by a combined 35-7. The Greenhounds are now 7-1 on the season and 2-0 in Cloverbelt East conference play.


In game one it was a 12-run top of the third inning for Loyal/Greenwood that included nine hits and 16 batters. Zaida Brock was two-of-four from the plate with four runs batted in. Aspen Hagen drove in three and Tysen Lindner helped with two RBI. Blackhawks leadoff batter A Graski reached safely in three plate appearances and accounted for two runs batted in.





Game two saw all 15 Greenhound runs come in the first inning. Loyal/Greenwood drew 10 walks and had a staggering 21 plate appearances in the first inning.





Emma Schlough pitched all seven innings over the course of both games and picked up the win in each.


Loyal/Greenwood plays a home game against Gilman Thursday at 5pm in Greenwood. The game will be broadcast live on zaleskisports.com.
