Zaleski Sports

HAYWARD – Mosinee quarterback set a unique state record in lifting the Indians to a dominating 47-7 win over Hayward/Lac Courte Oreilles in the Great Northern Conference opener on Friday night.

Garski finished a perfect 17-for-17 for 316 yards and six touchdowns as Mosinee’s passing game was one point. The 17-for-17 is the most pass completions in Wisconsin football history without throwing an incomplete pass in a game.

Garski had touchdown passes of 8 and 35 yards to Keagan Jirschele, 25 yards to Davin Stoffel and 3 yards to Wyatt Harris in the first half. Those four scores, along with a 14-yard TD run by Harris, gave Mosinee a 34-0 lead at halftime.

Garski added touchdown throws of 35 yards to Evan Utphall and 38 yards to Drake Grod in the third quarter to finish off his night.

Stoffel ended up with three catches for 101 yards, and Utphall also had three grabs for 91 yards for Mosinee (2-1 overall).
