Game two for Newman Catholic at the WBY Shootout will be nothing like their first game against Milwaukee Juneau as the Cardinals will take one of the highest scoring teams in the state, the Saint Mary Catholic Zephyrs.
At the time of writing this and looking at the schedules, the Zephyrs will have played two more games before competing at the WBY Shootout. Saint Mary Catholic is hosting their own two-day tournament before taking on Newman on Friday morning.
The Zephyrs look to be as advertised coming in ranked third in division 4 this season. They come in averaging 90.3ppg and holding opponents to 60ppg. They have not scored less than 83 points in any game this season which includes scoring 108 in a win over Mishicot on November 29th.
Saint Mary Catholic is coming off a tough end to their season last year, losing to division 4 state champions Roncalli in a sectional semi-final in which the Zephyrs were up nine at halftime, but they looking to be on a vengeance tour this season.
The Newman Cardinals will have their hands full on Friday morning trying to slow down the Zephyrs who are led by St. Norbert commit Cole Uhlenbrauck (25.4ppg (23rd in state)), senior guard Daniel Griffith (20.7ppg), senior Micheal Fairweather (10.6ppg) and senior Charlie Nackers (10.2ppg).
If you love high scoring games, this one could see 100 points on the scoreboard by the end, then this one will be for you.
