COLUMBUS CATHOLIC VOLLEYBALL TAKES THIRD PLACE AT DIOCESAN TOURNAMENT

CHIPPEWA FALLS – The Columbus Catholic volleyball team finished 3-2 and took third place the Diocesan Tournament on Saturday at McDonell High School.


The Dons defeated Eau Claire Regis 25-23, 25-19; Wausau Newman Catholic 25-14, 25-15; and Stevens Point Pacelli 25-15, 25-21; and lost to McDonell 25-20, 25-22; and Eau Claire Immanuel Lutheran 25-12, 23-25, 15-8.


Dorci Walker had 55 kills, 24 digs and nine service aces to lead Columbus Catholic. Jenna Kibbel added 25 kills, 28 digs and six service aces, Izzy Hoglund had 26 digs, Courtney Sommer had 36 assists, 15 kills and five blocks, and Lily Stratman had a team-high 48 assists for the Dons.


Columbus Catholic plays a Cloverbelt Conference East Division match at Loyal on Tuesday.
