COLBY GIRLS BASKETBALL PULLS AWAY IN SECOND HALF TO BEAT GREENWOOD

GREENWOOD – Emma Peavey and Lexi Krebsbach each scored nine points in the second half to help the Colby girls basketball team pull away to defeat Greenwood 57-46 in a Cloverbelt Conference East Division game Friday night at Greenwood High School.
Hailey Voelker led Colby with 18 points, Peavey had 11 and Krebsbach had nine for the Hornets, who improve to 11-5 overall and 9-3 in the Cloverbelt East.
Colby led 20-18 at halftime before pulling away with a 37-point second half.
Amanda Bogdonovich led Greenwood (3-13, 1-10 Cloverbelt East) with 18 points.
Both teams return to action Tuesday with home conference games. Colby will host Loyal and Greenwood will be at home against Spencer.
