COLBY FOOTBALL BLOWS OUT MARATHON TO REMAIN UNDEFEATED

MARATHON – Colby scored five first-quarter touchdowns and rolled to a 42-0 win over Marathon in a Marawood Conference football game Friday night at Marathon High School.
The Hornets held Marathon to just 35 total yards, and only four on the ground in 31 attempts, on their way to the shutout win.
Colby is now 6-0 overall and 3-0 in the Marawood Conference. Marathon falls to 1-5 and 0-3 in conference play.
Colby quarterback Brent Jeske ran for 84 yards on just four carries, which included a 22-yard touchdown run, to pace the Hornets’ offense.
Caden Healy had a 2-yard touchdown run and an interception return for a score, and Mason Voss added two touchdown runs – all in the first quarter – as the Hornets cruised.
Both teams will play nonconference games next Friday, Oct. 1. Colby will be at Hortonville and Marathon will host Grantsburg.
