PARK FALLS – The Athens girls basketball team improved to 10-1 this season with a 80-10 whitewashing of Chequamegon in a Marawood Conference North Division game Tuesday at Chequamegon High School.

Jazelle Hartwig scored 34 points, and Addison Lavicka just missed a triple-double with 13 points, 12 assists and nine rebounds in the win for the Bluejays, who are now 5-1 in the Marawood North.

Chequamegon remains winless at 0-11 overall and 0-5 in the Marawood North.

Athens plays a Marawood Conference crossover game at Edgar on Friday.
