ASSUMPTION GIRLS SOCCER SHUTS OUT WAUTOMA/WILD ROSE, CLINCHES CONFERENCE CHAMPIONSHIP

WAUTOMA – The Wisconsin Rapids Assumption girls soccer team clinched the Mid-Western Wisconsin Conference championship with an 11-0 rout of Wautoma/Wild Rose on Monday at Wautoma High School.


Sarah Shaw had a hat trick, and Kendall Duellman and Addi Vollert each had two goals for the Royals, who are now 18-0 overall and 13-0 in the MWWC.


Clara Kubis, Kayla Kerkman, Izzy Jungwirth and Jerlin Ferreira each added goals in the win for Assumption, which outshot the Hornets on goal 42-0.


Assumption hosts Melrose-Mindoro/Gale-Ettrick-Trempealeau at 6 p.m. Tuesday at Washington Field.
