WISCONSIN VALLEY LUTHERAN RALLIES TO BEAT PITTSVILLE VOLLEYBALL

PITTSVILLE – Wisconsin Valley Lutheran came back from a 2-1 deficit to beat Pittsville 3-2 in a Central Wisconsin Conference Small Division volleyball match Tuesday night at Pittsville High School.

WVL won 22-25, 25-21, 19-25, 25-11, 15-12.

“It was simple, we could not handle two of their servers and it cost us the match,” Pittsville coach Buff Heller said. “We just need to keep working hard on all the little things.”

Bekah Downs had 11 kills and 10 digs, Julia Redmond had seven kills and 10 digs, and Melissa Giles had a team-high 12 digs for the Panthers.

Vanessa Pelot had 14 assists, Angel Millard added eight assists, and Madisyn Schooley had a pair of blocks for Pittsville.

Pittsville hosts Stevens Point Pacelli on Thursday.
