WISCONSIN RAPIDS – Jacob Dekarske and Caden Sengbusch combined on a three-hitter to lead the Wisconsin Rapids American Legion baseball team to a 2-1 win over De Pere in a game at the Wisconsin Rapids Rangers Tournament on Saturday.


Dekarske went five innings, allowing one run and two hits in five innings, and Sengbusch finished off with two scoreless innings to earn the save for the Rangers (5-2).


Wisconsin Rapids trailed 1-0 before plating two runs in the bottom of the fifth, without the aid of a hit, and held on from there.


A hit batter and two errors, the second scoring Brian Olds and Canon Plawman to give the Rangers the lead.


Sengbusch had both of Wisocnsin Rapids’ hits in the game.


Wisconsin Rapids will play Antigo at 1 p.m. Sunday on the final day of the tournament. The game will be broadcast live at zaleskisports.com.
