STEVENS POINT – Megan Clary scored 20 points, and Ella Bruns had a double-double with 12 points and 12 rebounds to lead the Wisconsin Rapids girls basketball team to a 59-51 win over Stevens Point in a Wisconsin Valley Conference contest Tuesday at Stevens Point Area Senior High.


Rapids pulled out to a 31-23 lead by halftime and were able to match SPASH the rest of the way to win by eight.


Chelsea King added 12 points for Wisconsin Rapids, which is now 7-6 overall and 6-1 in the Wisconsin Valley Conference.


Tahlia Moe had 14 points and Zoe Fink added 12 for SPASH, which falls to 4-11 and 2-4 in the conference.


Wisconsin Rapids hosts Marshfield as part of a girls-boys doubleheader on Friday. The girls game starts at 6:30 p.m. with the boys to follow. Both games will be live-streamed at zaleskisports.com.


Stevens Point also returns to action Friday with a nonconference home game against Rhinelander at 7:15 p.m.
