WILD ROSE GIRLS BASKETBALL HOLDS OFF WAUTOMA FOR EIGHTH-STRAIGHT WIN

WAUTOMA – The Wild Rose girls basketball team extended its winning streak to eight with a hard-fought 58-53 win over Wautoma in a nonconference game Saturday afternoon at Wautoma High School.
The Wildcats (10-1) led 26-20 at halftime and held on in the second half for the victory.
Orria Wood made four 3-pointers and scored 21 points to lead Wild Rose. Clare Williams added 11 and Cali Havlovitz 10 in the win.
Bri Buechner had three 3-pointers and scored 12 points to lead Wautoma (7-6).
Wild Rose returns to Central Wisconsin Conference South Division play Tuesday at Pittsville.
