WILD ROSE GIRLS BASKETBALL CRUISES PAST PITTSVILLE, CLINCHES SHARE OF CWC SOUTH TITLE

WILD ROSE – The Wild Rose girls basketball team clinched a share of the Central Wisconsin Conference South Division championship with a dominating 66-20 win over Pittsville on Friday night at Wild Rose High School.


The Wildcats rolled out to a 35-8 lead by halftime and were never threatened as they won their 16th game in a row to improve to 18-1 overall and 11-0 in the CWC South.


Laney Havlovitz had 22 points, Cali Havlovitz added 19, and Orria Wood scored 11 for Wild Rose.


Pittsville (11-10, 6-5 CWC South) was held to eight made field goals in the loss. Reese Grimm had six points for the Panthers.


Wild Rose hosts Marion in a nonconference game Tuesday before wrapping up its regular-season schedule with a CWC South game at second-place Stevens Point Pacelli (10-1) on Thursday. The game at Pacelli will be live-streamed at zaleskisports.com.


Pittsville will play a nonconference game at Athens on Monday before hosting Port Edwards for its conference and regular-season finale on Thursday.
