The Assumption Royals girls soccer team earned a No. 1 seed in the upcoming 2022 WIAA girls soccer playoffs. The Royals will host the winner of No. 4 Richland Valley and No. 5 Richland Center on Saturday, June 4.

Assumption are a perfect 17-0 this season and are conference champions of the Mid-Western Wisconsin Conference. The Royals have scored 119 goals on the season and have only given up four.

Sarah Shaw leads the team with 33 goals scored, followed by Kendall Duellman with 25, Addi Vollert with 17, and Clara Kubis finding the back of the net 16 times this season. Duellman has assisted goal scorers 20 times and Vollert 14. In goal, Morgan Reichl has saved 48 shots and allowed three to post a goal save average of .941.

The La Crosse Aquinas Blugolds are the No. 2 seed and will take on No. Madison Country Day/Abundant Life Christian/Saint Ambrose in La Crosse on June 2. Assumption throttled Aquinas at home on April 23 by a score of 11-2

The No. 3 seed Lodi plays No. 6 Wisconsin Heights/Barneveld at home on June 2.

Assumption will finish its regular-season schedule with three games next week, starting with a matchup at Wautoma on Monday.
