WISCONSIN RAPIDS – After an early Assumption score, Webster ripped off four unanswered touchdowns to defeat the Royals 26-7 in a nonconference football game Saturday at South Wood County Stadium.
Reed Duellman ran in from the 29 to give the Royals an early 7-0 lead, but that would be all they could muster against a tough Webster defense.
It was the Rossow family show for the Warriors (5-4).
Gavin Rossow ran for two touchdowns and threw for another to Kayden Rossow, and Gage Rossow caught a TD pass from Nolan Stadler to account for Webster’s scoring.
Assumption was held to 160 total yards in the loss. Nick Leberg ran for 56 yards and Cade Statz had 42 rushing yards for the Royals (4-4).
Assumption will finish its regular season and Central Wisconsin Conference Small Division schedule at Loyal on Friday. The game will be live at zaleskisports.com.
