WAUSAU WEST TAKES TITLE AT WVC GIRLS TRACK TRUE TEAM MEET

WESTON – Wausau West three relays and finished first at the Wisconsin Valley Conference Girls Track True Team Meet on Tuesday at Stiehm Stadium at D.C. Everest High School.
Wausau West won the team title with 644.5 points, with D.C. Everest second with 626.5.
Aubri Brown won a pair of events and Sophie Nikolay tied for first in the pole vault to help Marshfield to a third-place finish.
Brown on the discus with a toss of 124 feet, 11 inches, and the shot put with a throw of 36-3.5, and Nikolay tied for first in the pole vault with a vault of 10-6 for the Tigers, who racked up 608.5 points.
Ashley Grancorvitz added a pair of runner-up finishes for Marshfield, taking second in the 100-meter hurdles (18.04 seconds) and the long jump (15-9).
Stevens Point finished fourth and Wisconsin Rapids sixth.
Earning wins for Wisconsin Rapids were Elise Moon in the 600 meters (1:41.15), and the 1,600-meter relay team of Alexis Dix, Moon, Mason Schuld and Cora Zwicke (4:25.18).
Lina Farkas earned Stevens Point’s only win in the high jump with a leap of 5-2.
