WAUSAU – Wausau East/West won its second-straight leg of the Wisconsin Valley Conference Girls Golf Tournament with a solid score of 179 at Tribute Golf Course on Friday.

East/West, which won the first leg on Thursday, topped Wisconsin Rapids by 17 shots to remain in first place in the overall standings. D.C. Everest was third with a 213 and Marshfield finished fourth with a 218.

Tess Brunner of Wausau East/West was the meet medalist for the second day in a row, shooting a 40. Teammate Jasmine Yang was one shot behind with a 41.

Marshfield’s Morgan Meyer finished in a tie for sixth with a 49 and Anna Weis was ninth with a 50 for the Tigers.

Dylan Gruszynski had a 46 to lead Wisconsin Rapids and Grace Woodward topped D.C. Everest with the same score as they tied for third place.

Marshfield will host the third meet of the tournament on Tuesday at Marshfield Country Club.
