MARSHFIELD – Fresh off a team state tournament appearance, and bringing back a largely experienced team, the Marshfield wrestling team was slammed in its season opener 48-28 by Wisconsin Rapids back on Dec. 2.
A few days later, the Tigers lost a pair of matches to Evansville and Stoughton by a combined four points.
It was hardly time to panic in early December, but the losses came as a bit of a wake-up call for Marshfield...
