STEVENS POINT LEGION DOUBLES UP PLOVER

STEVENS POINT – Blade Niewiadomski and Deacan Koback combined on a two-hitter as Stevens Point doubled up Plover 6-3 in a Wisconsin Valley Legion League baseball game Monday night at Bukolt Park.
Niewiadomski struck out six in five innings to earn the win, and Deacan Koback tossed two innings in relief to pick up the save for the Sixers, who are now 5-7 overall and 3-3 in the WVLL.
Benett Klish had two hits and three RBI, and Koback had two hits and an RBI for Stevens Point.
Jon Nafe had a double and an RBI for Plover (13-6, 4-2 WVLL).
Both teams return to action Tuesday with Stevens Point playing at Marshfield and Plover hosting Wausau. Both games will be broadcast live at zaleskisports.com at 7 p.m.
