STEVENS POINT LEGION BASEBALL DROPS TWO GAMES AT WISCONSIN RAPIDS TOURNAMENT

WISCONSIN RAPIDS – The Stevens Point Post 6 Legion baseball team dropped both of its games at the Wisconsin Rapids Rangers Tournament on Sunday, losing to Antigo 6-5 and Altoona 10-6.
Antigo earned a walk-off win with a run in the bottom of the seventh inning to win the first game against the Sixers.
Colby Hintz had three hits and two RBI, and Tyler Giese had three hits and drove in one in the loss to Antigo.
Altoona scored four times in the sixth inning and added another run in the seventh to break open a 5-5 tie to send the Sixers to their second loss.
Stevens Point had 13 hits, three by Benett Klish and Kale Roth. Roth and Kyle Madlena each had two RBI for the Sixers, who finished the tournament 0-4.
Stevens Point hosts Merrill at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at Bukolt Park. The game will be broadcast live at zaleskisports.com.
