STEVENS POINT – Emma Jossie scored 25 points and Zoe Fink added 23 as the Stevens Point girls basketball team won its first game of the season, defeating La Crosse Central 71-60 in a nonconference game Saturday at Stevens Point Area Senior High.

Avery Lilly added eight points for the Panthers, who are now 1-5 overall this season.

“Great win for us,” SPASH coach Kraig Terpstra said. “Zoe really set the tone in the first half with some impressive shooting. Then, in the second half, Emma Jossie had a dominant stretch that put the game away for us.”
