SPASH BASEBALL USES THREE HOMER FIFTH TO PUSH PAST MEDFORD

MEDFORD, WI - The SPASH Panthers baseball team jumped out to a 4-1 lead at Medford on Thursday night. The Panthers then outscored the Red Raiders 7-5 the rest of the way to claim an 11-6 non-conference road win.


Stevens Point got home runs from Kale Roth, Noah Marschke, and Deacan Koback, all in the top of the fifth inning. The home run trio each chipped in two RBI and Lucca Weinkauf also had a pair of runs batted in.


“15 hits with 8 being for extra bases is impressive, The guys were sharp at the plate today.”, said coach Kraig Terpstra. "We beat a very good team on their home field.”


Kaden Thauer picked up the win for SPASH striking out one and allowing one run on five hits in four innings pitched. Medford's Logan Baumgartner was the losing pitcher.


SPASH hosts Onalaska in a Saturday double header at Bukolt Park in Stevens Point with first pitch scheduled for 11am. Watch both games live on Zaleski Sports.
