ROSHOLT BOYS BASKETBALL PULLS OUT WIN OVER SURING

Zaleski Sports
ROSHOLT – Rosholt made 16 of 23 free throws to overcome a poor shooting night and defeated Suring 45-29 in a nonconference boys basketball game Thursday at Rosholt High School.
The Hornets (2-1) shot just 23.6 percent from the field (13-for-55) but were able to scratch out the win with a tough defensive performance and solid free throw shooting.
“It was a total team effort,” Rosholt coach Dan Hoffa said. “A hard fought win for this scrappy group.”
Landon Zinda made all six of his free throws and finished with a team-high 15 points for Rosholt. Jake Lemke added seven points and nine rebounds in the victory.
Rosholt hosts Almond-Bancroft in its Central Wisconsin Conference South Division opener on Tuesday at 7:15 p.m.
