SHEBOYGAN – Lucca Weinkauf drove in five runs to help the Plover Legion baseball team to a 15-4 victory over Green Bay Southwest in a game at the Sheboygan Legion Tournament on Friday.
Plover (11-4) scored six times in the first inning and added five more in the second to open up a big lead and cruised to the win.
Bryce Ehr threw the five-inning complete game, striking out four to earn the win.
Weinkauf finished with three hits, including two doubles, as the Black Sox had 11 hits and used five errors and four walks to their advantage.
Plover will play Marshfield at 12:30 p.m. and Viroqua at 5:30 p.m. as the tournament continues Saturday. Both games will be broadcast live at zaleskisports.com.
