PACELLI GIRLS BASKETBALL RALLIES TO WIN AT ROSHOLT

ROSHOLT – Rosholt had undefeated Stevens Point Pacelli down at halftime, but the Cardinals rallied with a dominating second half and won 44-35 in a Central Wisconsin Conference South Division girls basketball game Tuesday at Rosholt High School.


Pacelli is now 4-0 and 2-0 in the CWC South. Rosholt remains winless at 0-5 overall and 0-2 in conference play.


Rosholt led 21-16 at halftime before Pacelli stormed back to double up the Hornets 28-14 in the second half to win by nine.


Sarah Trzinski had 14 points for Rosholt.


Casey Vaughn scored 10 points, and Amelia Jacoby and Ashley Strizel each added eight for Pacelli.


Both teams return to action Tuesday with Central Wisconsin Conference South games. Pacelli will host Tri-County and Rosholt will play at Almond-Bancroft.
