PACELLI BASEBALL DOWNS ADAMS-FRIENDSHIP TO PICK UP FIRST WIN ON THE SEASON

STEVENS POINT – The Pacelli Cardinals baseball notched a win on Monday over the Adams-Friendship Green Devils in nonconference play at Bukolt Park in its long-awaited season opener.
Pacelli scored in the first inning on a wild pitch allowing Malise Beduhn to score.
The big inning for the Cardinals was the second when they put five runs on the board. Drew Kedrowicz drove in Ben Haemmerle and Peyton Flees on a double to left field. Two batters later, Asher Jordan drove in a couple for Pacelli to put the Cardinals up 5-0. Nick Helms would drive in Brock Birrenkott to end the scoring for Pacelli in the second, and they led 6-0.
Kedrowicz went 1-for-3 with two RBI and a run scored also drawing a walk. Jordan finished 1-for-2 with two RBI and a run scored.
Kedrowicz was dominate on the mound as well. throwing six innings, allowing six hits, one run and striking out 10.
Pacelli would add one more run and claim the win 7-1.
Pacelli improves to 1-0 on the season and Adams-Friendship falls to 5-2.
The Cardinals' next scheduled game is on Thursday at Almond-Bancroft.
