PACELLI BOYS BASKETBALL SLIPS PAST WILD ROSE TO STAY IN CWC SOUTH TITLE CHASE

WILD ROSE – The Stevens Point Pacelli boys basketball team kept its hopes of a share of the Central Wisconsin Conference South Division title alive with a tight 63-59 win over Wild Rose on Friday night at Wild Rose High School.


Jaydon Awe had a double-double with 15 points and 14 rebounds, and Nick Fox chipped in 13 points for Pacelli, which improves to 11-12 overall and 9-2 in the CWC South.


Pacelli remains one game behind Almond-Bancroft for the conference lead with one game remaining.


Pacelli hosts Port Edwards and Almond-Bancroft will be at home against Wild Rose on Thursday. The Pacelli game will be live at zaleskisports.com.


Wild Rose falls to 8-13 and 5-6 in the CWC South. Wild Rose stats were not reported.
