PACELLI BOYS BASKETBALL PULLS PAST WILD ROSE TO MOVE INTO TIE FOR FIRST PLACE

STEVENS POINT – The Stevens Point Pacelli boys basketball team pulled into a first place tie in the Central Wisconsin Conference South Division with a 50-38 win over Wild Rose on Monday night at Pacelli High School.


Pacelli is now tied for first place with Almond-Bancroft at 5-1 in the CWC South and improves to 6-8 overall with the victory.


Pacelli led 21-17 at halftime before pulling away in the second half, outscoring the Wildcats by eight.


Camden Schurk scored 12 points and Asher Jordan added eight points for the Cardinals.


Jonah Williams had 13 points and 11 rebounds for Wild Rose (3-7, 1-4 CWC South).


Wild Rose hosts Manawa for a nonconference game on Tuesday before both teams return to conference action Thursday. Wild Rose plays at home against Port Edwards and Pacelli hosts Tri-County.
