WEYAUWEGA – The Stevens Point Pacelli boys basketball team dropped its season opener to Weyauwega-Fremont 58-50 in a nonconference game at Weyauwega-Fremont High School on Thursday night.


Jaydon Awe scored 20 points and hauled down 18 rebounds loss for the Cardinals. Nick Fox added 12 points for Pacelli, which shot just 28.5 percent (18-for-63) from the field.


Pacelli opens its Central Wisconsin Conference South Division schedule at Tri-County on Tuesday.
