Zaleski Sports
NEILLSVILLE – Delaney Rochester struck out four in a four-hit shutout and Neillsville scored seven times in the first two innings to defeat Elk Mound 7-0 in a WIAA Division 3 softball regional semifinal Monday at Neillsville High School.
Emma Moseley had an RBI double, Terren Stockheimer followed with a two-run triple, and Rochester knocked in her with another triple as the Warriors raced out to a 4-0 lead in the first inning.
Neillsville scored on an error, a wild pitch and a sacrifice fly by Moseley in the second and that was more than enough for Rochester, who gave up just two walks and four hits in a complete-game effort.
Neillsville (18-4) will host No. 7 seed Arcadia (8-9) in a regional final Wednesday at 5 p.m. Arcadia upset No. 2 seed Westby 1-0 on Monday.
