AUBURNDALE – Neillsville overcame a five-point halftime deficit to defeat Wauwatosa West 51-40 in the third-place game at the Auburndale Girls Basketball Holiday Tournament on Tuesday at Auburndale High School.
West led 25-20 at halftime before Neillsville doubled up the score in the second half, outscoring the Trojans 31-15 in the second half to earn a double-digit win.
Neillsville (8-1) returns to action Thursday, Jan. 6 at Granton.
Emma Moseley had 17 points and seven rebounds, Paris Opelt added 11 points and six rebounds, and Paige Voight had 10 points and 11 rebounds for Neillsville.
