NEILLSVILLE GIRLS BASKETBALL CRUSHES GRANTON, EARNS OUTRIGHT CLOVERBELT EAST TITLE

NEILLSVILLE – The Neillsville girls basketball team clinched the outright Cloverbelt Conference East Division championship with an 80-6 drubbing of Granton on Friday night at Neillsville High School.


Delaney Rochester scored 14 points to lead four players in double figures for Neillsville, which is now 20-2 overall and 15-0 in the Cloverbelt East.


Amelia Trunkel added 13 points, and Paris Opelt and Sydney Subke both scored 10 for the Warriors.


Both teams wrap up their Cloverbelt East schedules Monday. Granton will be at Colby and Neillsville will travel to Marshfield Columbus Catholic. The Neillsville-Columbus game will be streamed live at zaleskisports.com.
