NEILLSVILLE – The Neillsville girls basketball team’s dismantling of the Cloverbelt Conference East Division continued Friday with a 79-23 rout of Owen-Withee in a game at Neillsville High School.
Eleven different Neillsville players scored in the victory as the Warriors improve to 12-1 overall and stay perfect at 9-0 in the Cloverbelt East.
Amelia Trunkel scored 16 points and Abby Koepp added 14 for Neillsville, which ran out to a 56-9 lead by halftime to put the game away early.
Dakota Shelton had six points for Owen-Withee (2-11, 2-7 Cloverbelt East).
Neillsville plays a nonconference game at Chippewa Falls McDonell on Tuesday.
