WISCONSIN RAPIDS – Muskego had 283 rushing yards to grind out a 21-7 win over Wisconsin Rapids in the season football opener for both teams on Thursday at South Wood County Field at Lincoln High School.
Muskego led 7-0 at halftime and pushed it to 14-0 on a 1-yard touchdown run by Hunter Logan in the third quarter.
Rapids cut the lead in half when quarterback Caden Sengbusch had his only completion of the game, a 44-yard touchdown pass to Austin Junemann, but the Raiders couldn’t get any closer.
Muskego held Wisconsin Rapids scoreless in the fourth quarter and tacked on an insurance score when Logan, who ran for 148 yards, raced in from 41 yards out.
Leo Brostowitz had 91 yards rushing to lead Wisconsin Rapids.
The Raiders return to action Friday, Aug. 27, at Sun Prairie.
