MOSINEE VOLLEYBALL WINS TWICE AT GREAT NORTHERN CONFERENCE MEET TO REMAIN UNDEFEATED

MEDFORD – The Mosinee volleyball team won both of its matches at the Great Northern Conference Meet on Saturday to remain unbeaten in conference play this year.

Mosinee defeated Lakeland 3-0 (25-21, 25-8, 25-21) and Northland Pines 3-0 (25-20, 25-21, 25-12) to run its GNC record to 5-0.

Abbi Martin had 20 kills and six blocks, Jessica Maurer had 16 kills, five service aces and 19 digs, and Alexis Jonas had 53 assists for Mosinee.

Jenna Placek added 14 kills and five blocks, Claire Selenske had 14 kills, and Jessica Brown chipped in 11 digs as well the Indians.

Mosinee hosts Antigo for a GNC match on Tuesday at 7 p.m.
