MOSINEE SOFTBALL USES 10-RUN INNING TO BLITZ EDGAR

EDGAR – Mosinee used a 10-run third inning and went on to defeat Edgar 15-5 in a nonconference softball game Friday at Edgar High School.


Edgar led 3-2 until Mosinee erupted for the big inning and finished the game off in five innings via the 10-run rule.


Mikah Keller went 4-for-4 with four runs scored, and Maria Valls Raya had three hits, including a triple, and two RBI for Mosinee (7-1).


Reagan Borchardt had a double, a home run and drove in four of Edgar’s five runs in the loss. Edgar drops to 4-3.


Mosinee returns to action Monday with a Great Northern Conference game at Medford.


Edgar hosts Wausau Newman Catholic in a Marawood Conference South Division game Tuesday.
