MOSINEE GIRLS SOCCER TOPS NORTHLAND PINES IN SHOOTOUT

EAGLE RIVER – Abby Dhein hit the game-winning penalty kick to lift the Mosinee girls soccer team to a shootout victory over Northlands Pines on Thursday.
Mosinee is now 6-5 overall and 5-4 in the Great Northern Conference. Northland Pines falls to 6-6-1 and 3-4-1 in the conference.
Kaitlyn Selle scored Mosinee’s only goal during regulation, which ended in a 1-1 tie.
Mosinee went on to win in a shootout 4-2.
Jessica Brown had 14 saves in goal for Mosinee.
Mosinee will play Howards Grove at the Appleton West Invitational on Saturday at 11 a.m.
