MOSINEE GIRLS BASKETBALL WINS AT EDGAR, IMPROVES TO 10-0

EDGAR – Lexi Freiboth scored 13 points to lead the Mosinee girls basketball team to its 10th-straight win as it defeated Edgar 49-30 in a nonconference game Tuesday at Edgar High School.


Kate Fitzgerald and Hailey Shnowske each chipped in 10 points for the Indians, who remain perfect this season at 10-0.


Reagan Borchardt scored 13 points and Leah Davis had 10 for Edgar.


Mosinee plays Neillsville in a battle of undefeated teams in a semifinal of the Auburndale Holiday Tournament on Monday at 1 p.m. The third-place game will be at 1 p.m. and championship game at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 28.


Edgar will play Ashland in a semifinal at the Northland Pines Tournament in Eagle River on Wednesday, Dec. 29. The tournament wraps up Dec. 30.
