MOSINEE BOYS BASKETBALL DEFEATS NEW LONDON FOR 12TH-STRAIGHT WIN

MOSINEE – The Mosinee boys basketball team extended its winning streak to 12 with a 65-52 nonconference victory over New London on Tuesday night at Mosinee High School.


Drake Grod buried three-straight 3-pointers during a first-half run that pushed Mosinee to a 30-20 lead at halftime.


Mosinee used a 10-0 run early in the second half to open up its lead and Davin Stoffel later in the half as the Indians were able to maintain a double-digit advantage.


Stoffel finished with 20 points, 14 coming in the second half, Grod added 13 and Keagan Jirschele chipped in 11 for the Indians, who are now 17-1.


Keagan Reiprock had five 3-pointers and a game-high 21 points to lead New London (6-10).


Mosinee will play a Great Northern Conference game at Rhinelander on Friday.
