MILWAUKEE ACADEMY OF SCIENCE DESTROY CAMERON IN DIVISION 4 STATE SEMI-FINAL

The Milwaukee Academy of Science punched their ticket to the division 4 state championship game with a rout of Cameron on Thursday night, 86-59.


The Novas finished with four players in double figures, led by Nacir Beamon who ended the night with 17 points and was 7-12 from the field. Davion Hannah led the way on the boards with 14 points and 12 rebounds.


Milwaukee Academy of Science raced out to a huge lead in the first half after it looked like Cameron was going to stick around as the Novas at one point in the first half went on an 11-0 to open the lead and go into the locker room with a 48-30 advantage.


Cameron finished with two players in double figures but couldn’t get much going as the Comets were taken advantage of with the height difference. Tyson Lucas finished with 23 points, Grant Paetzold ended the night with 19 points and Brady Quinn did his part on the rebounding side with 15 rebounds.


The Novas shot 33-77 from the field and snatched down 23 offensive rebounds. The Novas will play in the division 4 state championship game for the first time in school history on Saturday against the winner of the Roncalli vs Marshall game.
